Birch firewood has several desirable qualities. It tends to ignite quickly and easily, making it convenient for starting fires. It also burns relatively cleanly, producing minimal smoke and ash compared to some other types of firewood. Birch firewood typically provides a moderate heat output, making it suitable for various heating purposes such as fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, or outdoor fire pits.

Our birch firewood is amazing if we do say so ourselves! We’ve burned all sorts over the years and we always come back to birch as our preferred fuel. Why do we prefer birch? Because it has a lovely smell in the living room when stacked beside the fire and also because it burns with the most magnificent orange flame when compared to ash or oak.
If you’ve had a stove with a big flame picture (door!) installed then kiln dried birch will make it look amazing!
Our birch firewood is delivered in a crate which doubles up as a log store. Some customers also use them for kindling when empty. Don’t worry, if a crate isn’t for you we can also deliver kiln dried birch in nets which are much easier to move to your wood store!
